Kate Middleton and Prince William cheer on Gary Barlow at charity gig
Gary Barlow may not have had his Take That bandmates with him at last night's Royal Albert Hall gig but he did have Kate Middleton and Prince William cheering him on in the audience.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the charity concert in west London along with Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Barlow set up the gig to raise money for the Prince’s Trust and the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.
X Factor judge Barlow greeted the couple as they entered the venue and made their way to the Royal box to watch the gig.
Kate looked pretty in a £69.99 black and cream lace dress from high street store Zara, a Ralph Lauren jacket and heels.
Prince William wore a navy blue suit, red tie and black shoes to the event.
Barlow told Prince William before the gig: 'I hope you enjoy tonight and I hope it's not too loud.'
Prince William joked: 'The louder the better.'
Barlow teamed up with X Factor finalist Marcus Collins for a special performance during the concert.
Earlier in the day Barlow posted a photo on his Twitter page from rehearsals with the message: '@MarcuscollinsUK sound checking for tonight's performance.'
This was the second night Barlow has performed at the Royal Albert Hall.
On Monday, special guests Jason Donovan, Lulu and former X Factor contestant Olly Murs also performed on stage.
Barlow, who is arranging shows at Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year, waved at the royals as he started to sing Take That's hit The Greatest Day.
Afterwards, he told The Sun: 'I wasn't nervous. I really loved it.'
The Prince’s Trust is aiming to invest £2.5million to help areas in London, Manchester and Birmingham that were affected during the August riots.
